Chandler turned 5 on April 21, and in true Chandler fashion had a "Princess & Knight Party". When I asked her what kind of party she wanted, she had four requests: dress like princesses, play pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, carry-the-egg game (on a spooon), and a PINATA! Obviously, I was trying to picture in my head the variety of themes we had going on here. We set up hay bales and empty boxes for the kids to build castles and forts, played games and busted the Pinata. She had a great time at the party. I do know now though, opening a pinata--NOT SO EASY!
Chandler also celebrated her birthday at her preschool class. And, there is no doubt she is still a "Southern" girl. She chose grits & pickled okra, along with cupcakes, to have for her birthday snack at school! Truly a girl after my own heart.
I love Chandler's sweet spirit and am honored to be her momma. I treasure each day that God blesses us to watch her grow into a beautiful girl.
